What i love is how all forms of music reproduction succumb to true genius. No matter the status or background genius gets the recognition it deserves. In no other human endeavor does this happen. . Physical art painting etc require decades after the artists death to become of interest. Only music conquers that hurdle. Musicicans have the greatest talent of all humans.

Honestly, the Orchestra and the solo during the solo really hit me I was blown away

they did the guitarist a disservice by not showing him for the bulk of the guitar solo

Absolutely unbelievable

The only thing that gets close to this (apart from the original of course which, when you consider it was just FOUR guys is still amazingly fresh 50+ years later) is the Orion Orchestra with "Symphonic wish you were here". Hozier was "OK" on the vocal although he didn't have the David Gilmour "rasp" in his voice that sets your nerves alight on PF's recording, but wait until you hear Alice Cooper doing the vocal honours on the title track. Now THAT is something special - and also totally surprising. But fair do's - these young people, none of whom were alive when Dark Side came out, gave it a good lash.
